CANTEEN - Lunch Orders

CANTEEN OPERATION

The Canteen is open every day for ORDERS as well as RECESS and LUNCH SALES

STAFF

Our Canteen Manageress is Trudy Travaglia and the Canteen assistant is Deanne Verbeek. Trudy and Deanne are available to answer any queries you may have regarding the canteen and can be contacted on 50332541 during school hours.

HELPERS NEEDED

The Canteen requires as many helpers as possible to run our canteen. If all families could provide a helper (Mum or Dad) at least twice a year rosters would be filled quickly. If you could assist us please contact Trudy or Deanne.

HOW TO ORDER YOUR LUNCH

Orders are to be written by a parent on a clean brown paper bag in black or blue pen.

Bags are available from the canteen ~ 50 bags for $2.50. A fee of 10c is charged if there is no bag. 100 bags for $5.00 are also now available.

Fill out lunch bag with:

Students Name, Year Level & Room
Items ordered & price
Total Cost
Amount of Money enclosed & change if required

Example:

Fred Smith Year 6A

Salad Sandwich $2.30
Large Water $1.40

Total $2.70
Enclosed $3.00
Change $0.30c

CORRECT CHANGE APPRECIATED

Any shortfall in payment will be recorded in the IOU book and a note sent home for payment. Prompt repayment would be appreciated.

Frozen items can be paid for with order but must be collected from the Canteen on presentation of bag by your child. NO BAG – NO ITEM.

Orders are placed in the lunch order tubs in the classroom and are taken across to the canteen by 9.30am.

All orders will be sent to your child’s classroom just before the lunchtime bell. Anything missing from lunch order should be shown to a teacher who will make a note for us to correct.

PRE PAYMENT SYSTEM

The Canteen runs an optional pre payment system whereby parents may place money on an account for their child’s lunch orders.

Prepaid orders must have prepaid bags. These are available from the canteen or office ~ 50 bags for $2.50

PRICE CHANGES

From time to time changes to prices are made beyond our control, these are put on the newsletter – please alter these on your price list as they occur.

DONATIONS

Donations of any fruit / tomatoes are welcome at any time.

HEALTHY EATING

The Canteen operates under a Healthy Eating Policy. In order to promote this a ‘Student of the Week’ is given out for healthy eaters.
